I am still following some threads on CBS

like this one http://www.cbs.com/forum/posts/list/102077.page and loved this particular response:

her or his handle was a “gibbs” something or other and she nailed it I think

The situation is bad, yes–but it’s not something that can’t be solved. While the actors are angry, I don’t think it’s safe to say that they’re completely disgusted & hate every moment of what they’re doing. I’ve seen a number of moments this seasn where they seemingly enjoyed themselves–take MH & JS in Jack Knif e, for instance. [Yes, I know--Mark & Joe may have been miserable but their acting concealed that. Who knows.] We’ve also had some enjoyable & memorable moments this season. Have the shows been as high-quality as even 2yrs ago? No. Have I seen much worse on other long-running TV shows? Yes. Trust me, it can get much, much worse.

Point is, while the show is struggling in key areas due to SB’s poor management, etc., it’s not dying .* This show has redeemable features, people are still enjoying certain episodes, & the actors are still coming to work. We’ve heard they’re fighting for this show & for the fans. If anything, misery loves company, & making things sound hopeless must only encourage the actors (even the more positive ones) to quit. Who wants to be on a show when part of your fandom has not one positive thing to say about an entire season? Not me.

So, I think we should offer more encouragement to the cast & others who’ve shown their dedication to NCIS . Otherwise, it sounds like we’re just begging them to quit.

*Though if Mark quits, it’s a total loss & the show is over forever. Done.

WhooHoo

http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/02/14/bubble-show-scorecard/

Was there any doubt?

Discussions continue about the fans wanting “their Old show back” at CBS.com  I have renewed my calmness regarding the idea that M Harmon isn’t leaving the show until he is ready.  (That won’t be at the end of the series).

Someone posted the Readers Digest article to the web.  It was very good.

this was another of my responses to a thread

I do agree that everyone that is involved with the show is responsible for what they bring to the show. Ido have to say the show does have to grow. it it would stagnant if it didn’t. Iam not saying Ilike every little thing but over all Ido enjoy the show. My views on it are different then most of yours. Ido hope that there are episodes you will like. I am going to continue to watch the show and see where it goes.

This doesn’t mean I am angry with the cast and crew…i still love them.

Diane Neal is

Diane Neal (formerly of L&O:SVU) will be cast in an upcoming episode of NCIS.  As agent A Boring.   There is some speculation or hopes as to who she will be paired up with.  some say agent Gibbs, others want it to be either Tony or Tim.

Looking forward to this.

Who is responsible for the quality of the show?

this is in response to a thread over on CBS forum for NCIS….

It may be SBrennan’s overall responsibility but Ifirmly believe that its the ENTIRE cast and crew’s responsibility to bring good quality show…and although Ihave liked most of the stuff (Most being operative word) I can see where you are coming from.

I am also going to say this: If there was something not written right about a character that the actors play then it is their responsibility to “say hey I don’t think this is going to work”. If they are not then someone should tell them.

exciting casting for

The episode we meet Shannon Gibbs Mom…

I remember LeeAnn Hunley from Dynasty mostly and then other shows afterwards.   It will be awesome to see Sean again…

The Gibbs Slaps

One of the google alerts I got yesterday was some woman or person not sure complaining loudly on hehalf of Michael weatherly to stop hitting the actor. Every time I see these things I think to myself I would love to see what happens when someone a fan or even not who does watch the show go up to any of them and demand that they do things or call them on the carpet for the things that happen and see what the response would be.

I sometimes imagine those who don’t like the way things are going wit the show would go up to the cast and start a fight with them and wonder what would happen. (NO I am not suggesting any here do that but it would be interesting to see what happens).

I didn’t want to start a new thread but Iam going to play devil’s advocate here and if this has been addressed before Iapologize but here it goes:

What if:

All this stuff that we have seen, read, picked up on is in preparation for season 8 or beyond? What if Mark has his mind already set on leaving after season 8? If what we do may force him to continue on the show when he has his plans already set in motion(the traveling, the moving etc) won’t he be a bit resentful to be forced into playing the character for longer?

As a fanIwouldn’t want to have that responsibility of perhaps making an actor be forced into something he no longer wanted to do.

I thought about this this morning

Things like this are gonna piss me off

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364845/board/nest/156724491

at the same time I still can’t help but wonder if the person in question is really preparing to exit the show.  IF that’s the case then he out and out lied to audiences and fans…(I am  in somewhat of a bitchy mood at the moment so I am hoping I am definitely wrong)
